The songwriters Song Contest starts with you the writer and your original song. Starting Jan 3rd 2012, the tour will travel to 30 music stores in 30 cities throughout 6 states. The winner and runner up from each hosting dealership with have their videos uploaded for the
http://www.youtube.com/user/TheSongwritersTour?feature=mhee semi final round of voting for 21 days. During that time, voters can go to www.thesongwriters.biz and vote only once on any songwriter. Once the votes are calculated only 10 songwriters, out of the 30, 10 writers will be picked for the final round at the www.TexasSongFest.com music festival. We are proudly providing a vehicle for independent songwriters with a dream.
What is required for entry to the contest:
Download an Entry Form. Fill out the form and email it or bring it to Sky Guitars.
$20.00 Entry Fee. Debit Card, Visa or Mastercard are accepted. The hosting store will collect the entry payment directly from you. Click on "Pay Your Entry Fee" to pay online.
An MP3 of your song or your demo on a CD. The hosting store will collect the audio directly from you via email, mail or in person.
A legible lyric sheet with title, writers, creation date, rights management organization ex: SESAC, BMI ASCAP and copyright signification with date. The hosting store will collect your lyric directly from you via email, mail or in person.
A release form must be filled out before you can compete. NOTE: The video release form may be signed at your local hosting store before or on the night of the event at your local store location.
ONCE YOU’VE ENTERED - you will be notified that you have been chosen to compete on the specified contest night.
